The Polar Petting Zoo

The Polar Petting Zoo at Land of Illusion’s Christmas Glow is one of the most heartwarming stops in the entire village — a place where families can slow down, laugh, and enjoy hands-on interactions with some truly lovable animals. In partnership with Safari Junction, our petting zoo offers an up-close, interactive, and educational experience for guests of all ages.

One of the biggest highlights is meeting our friendly Highland cows, known for their long hair, gentle nature, and picture-perfect looks. Guests are welcome to feed them grain or carrots for a small additional cost — a guest favorite activity!

Over the past two seasons, our petting zoo has also welcomed baby sheep and baby goats, and while we can’t guarantee their arrival every year, they have always been a massive hit. Kids love sitting with them, petting them, and taking memorable photos with these adorable little ones.

Every animal in our Polar Petting Zoo has been raised around families and children, making them exceptionally calm, friendly, and well-behaved. Whether you’re feeding a Highland cow, petting a llama, or meeting one of our smaller barnyard friends, this is the perfect place to soak in some interactive holiday fun and create unforgettable family memories.

Celebrate the season at The Christmas Glow, over 3.8 million lights at the 2-mile long Christmas Around the World drive-thru experience, visit Santa at the Christmas Village Santa Workshop or just take in the majestic lights of the 45-foot Christmas Tree as you and yours warm by the gas fire pits.
