Just because it is winter does not mean that you have to leave the ghoulish fun of Halloween behind.

It is a human trait to believe that everything belongs to a season. To think that we must only have Christmas lights for a few weeks at the end of the year, that Halloween must end in early November, and we can’t go swimming and splashing all year round.

Well, maybe this last one is true. Few people are interested in a dip into a pool or pond covered with a thin layer of ice, only to come out and face hypothermia.

But there is no reason that November first should mark the end of the fun times with your friends, watching horror movies together.

In fact, the movies are a little bit better when the wind’s hands are searching the crevices of your home, and the sun sets a little earlier, it feels a lot darker, and you and your closest friends are snuggled under blankets and already unwilling to move out into the cold air.

Just because it is winter doesn’t mean you have to leave the ghoulish fun of Halloween behind. And if you don’t want to get everyone over to your house, or you have too many friends to contain – have a winter scare fest at your local movie theater.

Rent a theater for a scary fun time!

One of the positive effects of the pandemic is that theaters have gotten very creative in how they invite people into their space. This means that they have become very flexible with renting theater space out to groups small and large.

Better yet, they offer a wide range of amenities and titles, depending on the venue.

Here are links to a few options of theaters that you could rent in the coming weeks to view one of your favorite scary movies, or to screen a new scary release.

Cinemark – book a private screening here.

RJ Cinema offers various food and drink packages and private screenings.

Cinepolis theater rentals are geared toward larger groups at affordable prices.

Why not find a new way and a new place to scare your friends this winter?
